Two charities would hold flag sales in Kowloon and the New Territories respectively this Saturday (February 4), a spokesman for the Social Welfare Department said today (February 2).
Only two organisations will conduct flag sale respectively in Kowloon and the New Territories as the organisation scheduled to sell flags on Hong Kong Island that day has cancelled its flag sale activity.
Arrangements had been made with the charities to help people distinguish between the two flag-selling activities.
"The organisations are allowed to conduct flag-selling activities only in their respective regions, and the flags and donation collection bags will be of different colours," the spokesman said.

In the case of suspected fraudulent flag-day activities, people should not make any donation and should immediately report the matter to the police.
