"My Heart, My Home" receives overwhelming response
**************************************************

More than 300,000 people have participated in the two stages of voting to pick the most loveable sights in "My Heart, My Home - 18 Districts Reach Out Together For Loveable Sights In Hong Kong".

The top three selected sights are: Ocean Park; Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade (including Clock Tower, Avenue of Stars, Star Ferry Pier and cultural complex); and Nam Sang Wai, Mai Po Nature Reserve and Hong Kong Wetland Park.  Also gaining high votes were the Peak Tower and the Peak Tram, and the night scene at Jat's Incline, Kowloon Peak.

More than 800 participants in the second stage who selected the top three sights have won prizes in a ballot.  Ten schools were also selected as the Most Devoted Schools. Results will be announced tomorrow (January 28) on the "My Heart, My Home" website (http://www.myheartmyhome.hk) and in newspapers.

"My Heart, My Home" was organised by the Home Affairs Bureau, 18 District Councils and the Hong Kong Institute of Architects. Its goals were to enable residents to better understand the district they lived in and Hong Kong in general, and to be more concerned about their neighbourhood and the beauty around them.

The first stage of the project invited residents of each district to vote for their most loveable sight among the three candidate sights nominated by the respective District Councils.  The second stage was a territory-wide vote in which Hong Kong residents were invited to select their most loveable sight from the 18 winning sites of the first stage.
