The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will have special opening hours for its 13 museums, Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre and the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre during the Lunar New Year holidays.
The special opening hours will affect the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong Museum of History, Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Hong Kong Science Museum, Hong Kong Space Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence, Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware, Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum, Law Uk Folk Museum, Sheung Yiu Folk Museum, Hong Kong Railway Museum, Sam Tung Uk Museum and Hong Kong Film Archive.
On Lunar New Year's Eve (January 28), all the museums, as well as the Heritage Discovery Centre and Visual Arts Centre will close at 5pm except the Sheung Yiu Folk Museum, which will close at 4pm.
On the first and second days of the Lunar New Year (January 29 and 30), all the museums, Heritage Discovery Centre and the Visual Arts Centre will be closed.
On the third day of the Lunar New Year (January 31), the Museum of Art, Museum of History, Heritage Museum, Science Museum, Space Museum, Museum of Coastal Defence, Film Archive and the Heritage Discovery Centre will open as usual, while the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware, Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum, Law Uk Folk Museum, Sheung Yiu Folk Museum, Railway Museum, Sam Tung Uk Museum and the Visual Arts Centre will remain closed.
