Recipients of the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme and Disability Allowance under the Social Security Allowance (SSA) Scheme will get revised rates of payment from February 1, a spokesman for the Social Welfare Department said today (January 22).
An increase of 0.4% in the standard payments under the CSSA and Disability Allowance under the SSA Schemes to take account of inflation was approved by the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council on December 16, 2005.
Details of the revised standard payment rates under the CSSA Scheme and the Disability Allowance are listed in the Annex.
The rates of payment under the Old Age Allowance will remain unchanged.
CSSA and SSA recipients who have further enquiries are advised to contact their respective social security field units or the department's hotline at 2343 2255.
