The Sports Commission delegation today (January 20) met with Mr Peter Abraam, CEO of the Victoria Major Events Company. The company, set up in 1991 by the Victoria State Government, is a powerful tool to promote city visitation and awareness, making Melbourne one of the most prominent event city in the world. It drew 230,000 international visitors to the city every year, which is about 42 per cent of the market share of international event visitors in Australia.   Close
