MPFA recovers MPF non-payment for 13 employees

The District Court today (January 19) issued a judgment against an employer. The defendant, City Pipe Technologies (Hong Kong) Limited, was ordered to pay the MPFA the sum of $276,508.09, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable to 13 employees.
The amount awarded will be reimbursed to the employees' MPF accounts as soon as it is received by the MPFA. The court further ordered the defendant to pay $930 to the MPFA as the cost of the claim.
