Appointments to the Hong Kong Tourism Board

    The Government announced today (December 30) the re-appointment of the Hon Vincent Fang as a member of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) for a term of three years from January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2008.

     Hon Vincent Fang is also Chairman of the Quality Tourism Services Association.

     The Hong Kong Tourism Board Ordinance provides that the HKTB shall consist of 20 members. There is no change to the composition of the HKTB after the re-appointment which is as follows ﷿

(2)Ms Vivien CHAN;
(3)Dr CHAN Wai-kwan;
(4)Mr Philip CHEN Nan-lok;
(5)Mr Paul CHIU Kai-wo;
(6)Mr CHOW Chung-kong;
(7)Mr Robert CHOW Yung;
(8)Hon Mrs Selina CHOW LIANG Shuk-yee, Chairman of HKTB;
(9)Hon Vincent FANG Kang;
(10)Mr Ronnie HO Pak-ting;
(11)Mr Michael HUI Koon-man;
(12)Mr Stanley KO Kam-chuen;
(13)Mr Frederick LAM Tin-fook;
(14)Mr Mark LETTENBICHLER;
(15)Mr LO Sui-on;
(16)Mr George MAGNUS;
(17)Mr TANG Kwai-nang;
(18)Mr James Tak WU;
(19)Mr YU Pang-chun; and
(20)Secretary for Economic Development and Labour or Commissioner for Tourism, Deputy Chairman of HKTB.

     Commenting on the re-appointment, the Secretary for Economic Development and Labour, Mr Stephen Ip  said, "Mr Fang is  committed to promoting quality service and has all along worked closely with the HKTB to enhance the Quality Tourism Services Scheme. He has contributed to the work of the HKTB with his rich experience in the retail sector. We look forward to continuing working with him and the trade to further promote tourism development in Hong Kong."
