The Government's latest Yearbook, "Hong Kong 2015", went on sale today (June 24).
The book offers an invaluable source of information about Hong Kong, giving an in-depth account of government policy and activities and an overview of Hong Kong life and developments in 2015.
It also contains a wealth of facts and figures, including more than 40 tables of statistics and a map on the inside back cover showing the territory's external merchandise trade.
The 21 chapters cover subjects ranging from Hong Kong's constitution and legal system, the economy, employment, education and the environment to recreation, sport, culture and the arts.
This edition's front cover shows an aerial view of the Court of Final Appeal (CFA) Building in Central. The building dates back to 1912, first housing the Supreme Court and then the Legislative Council. Renovations began in 2013 to convert the building back into a court, and it was reopened in 2015 as the new home of the CFA. Its exterior is a declared monument.
Apart from the front cover, more aerial views are presented in "Above Hong Kong", one of 12 photo sections comprising 121 images about events, people and places in Hong Kong.
The English and Chinese editions of "Hong Kong 2015" and other government publications are available for sale at the Information Services Department's Publications Sales Unit, Room 626, 6/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point.
