Ensemble intercontemporain calls for scores from local composers
*******************************************************

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) is calling for scores from local composers for Ensemble intercontemporain's consideration. The ensemble will perform the selected music piece at its concert to be held in October.

The first phase of the call for scores was completed in March with the assistance of the Hong Kong Composers' Guild. The second phase is now open for submission. Interested local composers are invited to submit their scores and relevant documents to the Cultural Presentations Section of the LCSD on or before noon on May 9 (Monday). For submission details, please call 2268 7321 or visit www.lcsd.gov.hk/CE/CulturalService/Programme/en/music/program_1075.html .

The concert by Ensemble intercontemporain will be held at 8pm on October 23 at the Concert Hall of Hong Kong City Hall. The music director/conductor Matthias Pintscher and members of the ensemble will perform a piece of music written by a Hong Kong composer at the concert.

Founded in 1976 by composer Pierre Boulez, Ensemble intercontemporain comprises members who share a passion for music from the 20th and 21st centuries. It is recognised as one of the world's most revered ensembles specialising in the music of our time.
