The Government today (April 1) announced the re-appointment of six members and appointment of six new members to the Commission on Youth for a two-year term starting from April 1, 2016.
The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, extended his gratitude to six outgoing members, Mr David Yip Wing-shing, Mr Rex Mok Chung-fai, Mr Stanley Yeung Chee-tat, Mr Cheng Ka-ho, Mr Lau Kwok-fan and Miss Phoebe Tang Pui-yee, for their efforts in the work of the Commission.
The membership for the new term of the Commission on Youth is as follows:

The official members of the Commission include representatives from the Home Affairs Bureau, the Education Bureau, the Labour and Welfare Bureau, the Security Bureau and the Home Affairs Department.
The Commission on Youth is a non-statutory advisory body to advise the Government on matters pertaining to youth development. The work of the Commission is diversified, including commissioning research studies on youth development matters, organising or sponsoring youth development activities, sponsoring youth exchange and internship programmes on the Mainland, running the International Youth Exchange Programme for youngsters to engage in exchange activities overseas, and formulating the funding criteria of the Youth Development Fund.
