Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate two public events to be held in Central this Sunday (January 31).
(I)
The following traffic arrangements will be implemented from 4am to noon:
Road closure
------------
- Edinburgh Place east and north of City Hall between Lung Wo Road and Connaught Road Central, except vehicles leaving City Hall car park;
- Lung Wo Road between Fenwick Pier Street and Man Yiu Street, except the slow lane of westbound Lung Wo Road between Tim Wa Avenue and Edinburgh Place;
- Yiu Sing Street; and
- Around 40 metres of the slow lane of southbound Man Yiu Street from the junction of Lung Wo Road between Lung Wo Road and Yiu Sing Street.
Traffic diversions

- Traffic along southbound Man Yiu Street cannot turn left to eastbound Lung Wo Road;
- Traffic along southbound Man Yiu Street cannot turn left to Yiu Sing Street;
- Traffic along eastbound Man Cheung Street cannot enter eastbound Lung Wo Road and must turn to Man Yiu Street;
- Traffic along eastbound Man Po Street cannot enter eastbound Yiu Sing Street and must turn to Man Yiu Street;
- Traffic along northbound Edinburgh Place east of City Hall cannot enter westbound Lung Wo Road;
- Traffic along northbound Legislative Council Road cannot enter westbound Lung Wo Road. Traffic will be diverted to southbound Legislative Council Road;
- Traffic along eastbound Lung Wui Road cannot enter westbound Lung Wo Road; and
- Traffic along westbound Fenwick Pier Street cannot enter westbound Lung Wo Road.
Suspension of parking spaces

All on-street parking spaces, parking meters and motorcycle parking spaces at the open space outside General Post Office, westbound Lung Wo Road will be suspended.
(II)
The following roads will be intermittently closed from 2pm until the crowd is dispersed:
- Eastbound Chung Kong Road;
- Eastbound Man Kwong Street;
- Yiu Sing Street;
- Eastbound Lung Wo Road;
- Legislative Council Road; and
- Northbound Tim Mei Avenue.
Vehicles may not be permitted to leave the car parks along the closed roads.
Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
