The Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Mr Nicholas W Yang, will pay a two-day visit to Beijing on January 21 and 22.
During his visit, Mr Yang will call on the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Cyberspace Administration of China and the Standardization Administration of China. He will pay a courtesy call on the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council.
The Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, Ms Annie Choi, and the Government Chief Information Officer, Mr Allen Yeung, will join the visit.
Mr Yang will depart for Beijing this evening (January 20) and return to Hong Kong on Friday evening (January 22). In his absence, the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will act as Secretary for Innovation and Technology.
