With a view to enhancing the learning of practical English conversation in the workplace for working adults, the Workplace English Campaign (WEC) has launched its first mobile application, "Workplace English Tic-Tac-Toe".
"Workplace English Tic-Tac-Toe", which combines English learning with entertaining elements, includes interactive features to raise users' interest in learning workplace English. The mobile app provides users with practical English conversations applicable to various workplace contexts and job natures. It also allows users to test their understanding of the contents and compare their results with other users through interesting games.
The app is available for free download at Google Play or the Apple App Store.
The WEC is funded by the Language Fund and steered by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research. The campaign aims to heighten public awareness of the importance of having a good command of English in a workplace environment and to improve the knowledge of English among the working population in Hong Kong.
