The following is issued on behalf of the Executive Council Secretariat:
In response to media enquiries on his reference to Mr Lee Bo probably being in a state of detention and whether that statement is based on privileged information, the Convener of the Non-official Members of the Executive Council, Mr Lam Woon-kwong, today (January 15) clarified that the remark was based purely on his own personal observation from open information concerning Mr Lee's situation. He had no access to any privileged information. The reference hence should not be taken as verified.
