The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Manual Handling Operations and Prevention of Back Injuries" on January 22 (Friday). The talk will introduce the causes and preventive measures of back injuries, as well as proper manual handling operations.
The talk will be held at 3pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse and Occupational Hygienist will give the talk.
The LD will hold another talk entitled "Prevention of Upper Limb Disorders" on January 25 (Monday). The talk will describe the structure and function of the upper limb and discuss the main causes and preventive measures of upper limb disorders. Demonstrations of workplace exercises will be included.
The talk will be held at 3pm in the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Science Museum, 2 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.
The talks will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free.
