Following is the transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, responding to a media question after signing the condolence book at the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau today (November 16):

Chief Executive: Well, Hong Kong stands resolutely behind the people of France and condemns these barbaric acts of terrorism against humanity. Our thoughts are very much with the French people at these very difficult times and with their friends and families.
