Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected ketamine at Shenzhen Bay Control Point (with photo)

     Hong Kong Customs yesterday (November 1) seized about 2 kilograms of suspected ketamine, with a market value of about $260,000, at Shenzhen Bay Control Point and arrested a man.

     Customs officers intercepted an incoming male passenger at Shenzhen Bay Control Point last night. A total of about 2kg of suspected ketamine was found on the man.

     The 28-year-old man, who claimed to be unemployed, was arrested and he will appear at Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (November 3).

     Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence and the maximum penalty is life imprisonment and a fine of $5 million.
