The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Tokyo (HKETO Tokyo) hosted a Hong Kong Night reception in Busan, Korea, last night (October 4) to promote Hong Kong and the vibrancy of its film industry.
The reception, which tied in with the Busan International Film Festival, was attended by some 600 guests from the Hong Kong and overseas film sector.
In her welcome remarks, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Representative (Tokyo), Mrs Winnie Kang, said that Hong Kong is a city of creativity and Hong Kong movies are ambassadors which connect Hong Kong with the world, and reflect the characteristics of Hong Kong as a vibrant, open and cosmopolitan city.
At the reception, Mrs Kang was joined by the Head of Create Hong Kong, Mr Jerry Liu; the Executive Director of the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society, Mr Roger Garcia; the Festival Director of the Busan International Film Festival, Mr Lee Yong-kwan; and film talents from Hong Kong and overseas.
