A No. 3 alarm fire broke out at a logistics site measuring 30 metres by 20 metres at Wang Toi Shan San Tsuen in Pat Heung last night (September 7). A single-to-two-storey container-converted structure containing scrap auto parts, and a range of two-storey container-converted structures used as office space and containing a large quantity of scrap machinery, metal and auto parts, were severely damaged.
The fire broke out at 10.52pm last night and was upgraded to No. 3 alarm at 11.23pm. The fire was surrounded at 0.41am today (September 8), put under control at 1.25am and largely put out at 2.05am.
Firemen used eight jets and three foam branches and mobilised five breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze.
No casualties have been reported so far.
