Police today (August 31) appealed to the public for information on a dead body found in Lantau North on July 12.
About 12.40pm that day, Police found a man floating in the sea off Tai O Wing On Street. He was rescued and certified dead at scene.
The deceased was believed to be a Chinese male aged between 40 and 50. He was about 1.7 metres tall, of medium build and with bare head. He was found without his right middle finger. His upper body was naked while the lower body was wearing black swimming pants. No identity document was found on the body.
Initial investigations revealed no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
Police urged anyone who knows the deceased or has any information to offer to contact officers of the Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of Lantau North Division on 3661 1927.
