Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Airport District this morning (August 13) in which a 52-year-old man died.
About 10.59am, when a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 42-year-old man was travelling along a carriageway inside a loading area of an airfreight terminal on 2 Chun Wan Road, it reportedly knocked down the 52-year-old man.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the 52-year-old man was rushed to North Lantau Hospital in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 12.15pm.
The MGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for enquiries.
Investigations will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South.
