The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Occupational Health for Professional Drivers" on August 20. To enhance awareness of occupational health among professional drivers, the talk will elaborate on occupational health hazards, preventive measures, common health issues and health tips. Demonstration of workplace exercise will be included.
The talk will be held at 3pm in the Lecture Hall, Hong Kong Space Museum, 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.
The LD will hold another talk entitled "Prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders" on August 28. This talk aims to enhance office workers' awareness of musculoskeletal disorders of back and upper limbs arising from prolonged repetitive movements or improper sitting postures. The talk will analyze the causes and preventive measures of musculoskeletal disorders. Demonstration of workplace exercise will be included.
The talk will be held at 3pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The LD's Occupational Hygienist and Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.
The above talks will be conducted in Cantonese. Admission is free.
