Appeal for information on abandoned child (with photo)

     Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a child who was found abandoned in Mong Kok.

     At about 8.45pm yesterday (July 14), Police received a report that a boy was found abandoned at the lobby of MTR Prince Edward Station.

     The boy is believed to be about two years old. He is about 85 centimetres tall and about 11 kilograms in weight. He has a round face with yellow complexion and short black hair. He was wearing a grey short-sleeve T-shirt with a "Cars" cartoon logo, light blue trousers and blue sandals when being found. No identity document was found in his possession.

     The boy, sustaining no apparent injuries, was admitted to Kwong Wah Hospital for observation.

     Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Mong Kok are underway.

     Police urge his relatives or anyone who has information to offer, to contact any Police stations or the officers of Mong Kok District on 3661 1642 or 2398 6429.
