The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Secretary of the CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee, Mr Li Jia, and the Mayor of the Zhuhai Municipal Government, Mr Jiang Ling, at Government House this afternoon (June 24) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Leung welcomed Mr Li and Mr Jiang on their visit and said that Hong Kong and Zhuhai have been working closely in various areas. He pointed out that Hong Kong has a large pool of talents and rich management experience in various service sectors, which could support the development of Zhuhai.
Mr Leung thanked the Zhuhai Municipal Government for its support and co-operation in the discussion of issues relating to the cross-boundary transport arrangements of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. He also expressed the hope that both sides would continue to maintain close liaison in taking forward the development of the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone and bring about mutual benefits.
