Police are investigating a traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan this morning (February 23) in which a 74-year-old woman was killed.
At about 11.53am, a bus driven by a 61-year-old man was turning right from Mei Foo Bus Terminus to Cheung Sha Wan Road and it reportedly knocked down the 74-year-old woman who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious abdomen injuries, the woman was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 12.28pm.
The bus driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are underway.
