Traffic control centre reveals secrets

More than 800 cameras placed around the city's roads and tunnels relay footage to the Transport Department's Emergency Transport Co-ordination Centre in Wan Chai, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is the front line when it comes to dealing with Hong Kong's transport situation.
News.gov.hk spoke to the centre's transport co-ordinators who revealed what it takes to manage the city's traffic, as well as the challenges of being responsible for millions of people's travel plans.
