The following is issued on behalf of the Town Planning Board Secretariat:
The Town Planning Board (TPB) Secretariat today (October 6) announced detailed arrangements for the meetings for consideration of the representations and comments in respect of the draft Kwu Tung North Outline Zoning Plan (OZP) No. S/KTN/1 and the draft Fanling North OZP No. S/FLN/1.
Attendance of meetings
The meetings will commence on October 8 and last until February 2015. Each representer and commenter is entitled to attend the meeting, either in person or through an authorised representative, under the Town Planning Ordinance. In view of the large number of attendees, representers/commenters or their authorised representatives should attend the meetings in the allotted sessions. No on-site registration for attending the meeting by other representers/commenters will be entertained.
Presentation time
Having regard to the large number of representers and commenters who have indicated their attendance at the meeting, a total of 10 minutes is allotted to each representer/commenter for making an oral submission in respect of the draft OZP(s). Requests for further time or adjournment of the oral submission from a representer/ commenter or the authorised representative will be considered by the TPB if strong justification is provided.
If an authorised representative is appointed by more than one representer and commenter to represent them, that authorised representative may use the cumulative time allotted to the persons he represents to make his oral submission.
Live broadcast
Apart from the seats reserved for representatives of media organisations, and representers/commenters or their authorised representatives, seats at the TPB Public Viewing Room at 1/F, North Point Government Offices will be allocated to members of the public on the meeting day on a first-come,first-served basis. Prior seat reservation will not be entertained. Live broadcast will also be available at the TPB's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb) and at the main lobby of North Point Government Offices.
Guidance notes and latest announcements for matters relating to the consideration of representations and comments in respect of the two draft OZPs will be available at the notice board of the subject matter on the TPB's website.
