Winning entries in the "Blossoms of Joy" photo competition of the Hong Kong Flower Show 2014, which was organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) and held in March at Victoria Park, are on display in Kowloon Park Arcade from today (June 16) until July 15, from 7am to 11pm daily. Admission to the exhibition is free.
The photo competition, jointly organised by the LCSD and the Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), was one of the show's major fringe activities to promote community greening.
The competition was divided into three categories - Category A: Portrait of TVB Artistes and Miss Hong Kong (Open Section and Student Section); Category B: Flowers; and Category C: Snapshots.
This year, the competition received over 5 300 entries including photographs of beautiful flowers and plants, interesting features, and portraits of artistes from TVB and Miss Hong Kong title holders posing in the garden displays.
The winning entries have also been uploaded onto the LCSD webpage at www.lcsd.gov.hk/green/hkfs/2014/en/photo_rs.php for public viewing. For enquiries, please call 2601 8260.
This year's flower show was supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust as the major sponsor while the photo competition was sponsored by Tamron Industries (Hong Kong) Limited and Manfrotto Distribution HK Limited.
