The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Secretary of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Mr Wang Rong, and the Mayor of the Shenzhen Municipal Government, Mr Xu Qin, at Government House this afternoon (May 22) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Leung welcomed Mr Wang and Mr Xu on their visit and said that Hong Kong and Shenzhen have been working closely in various areas. He also expressed his thanks for Shenzhen's support for the collaboration between the two places in respect of economic and trade issues, education and facilitating immigration clearance.
Mr Leung said he hoped that Hong Kong and Shenzhen would continue to strengthen the communication on various co-operation initiatives for mutual benefit.
