Police today (April 30) reclassified a wounding case happened in Tsuen Wan on April 28 as murder.
At about 11.30pm on that day, Police received a report that a man, suspected to be attacked, was found collapsed outside 1 Tsuen Fu Street. Police sped to scene and located a 58-year-old man lying unconscious on the ground.
Sustaining injuries to his abdomen, the man was rushed to Yan Chai Hospital for medical treatment and was certified dead at 4.13pm today. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
Upon investigation, Police arrested a 28-year-old man in Tsuen Wan today in suspected connection with the case. He is being detained for further enquiries.
Active investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of New Territories South are under way.
