The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority:
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) wishes to alert members of the public in Hong Kong to a number of suspected fraudulent websites with the domain names "www.ssgahk.com", "www.ssgahk.net", "mn.daofu5.com", "my.daofu5.com" and "www.daofu100.com". These websites claimed to be associated with the State Street Corporation which wholly owns State Street Bank and Trust Company, a licensed bank in Hong Kong. State Street Corporation and State Street Bank and Trust Company have clarified that they have no connection with these suspected fraudulent websites.
State Street Bank and Trust Company has reported the case to the Hong Kong Police Force for further investigation. Anyone who has provided his or her personal information to the websites or has conducted any financial transactions through the websites should contact State Street Bank and Trust Company at 2840 5484 and any local police station or the Commercial Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force at 2860 5012.
