Special traffic arrangements during Ching Ming Festival

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements in the following districts to facilitate grave-sweepers during Ching Ming Festival.

I. Pok Fu Lam

     A section of Consort Rise between Victoria Road and Bisney Road will be re-routed as one-way southbound between 7am and 5pm on March 29 and 30, April 5, 6, 12 and 13.

II. Aberdeen

     Peel Rise in the vicinity of the Aberdeen Chinese Cemetery and the slip road from Shek Pai Wan Road leading to the Aberdeen Chinese Cemetery will be closed between 8am and 4.30pm on March 22, 23, 29 and 30, April 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 and 21; and between 7am and 6pm on April 5 and 6.

III. Diamond Hill

     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented between 7am and 6pm on March 22, 23, 29, 30, April 5, 6, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20.

Road closure:

     The following roads will be closed, except for emergency vehicles, hearses and funeral vehicles:
- The access road leading to the Diamond Hill Crematorium;
- The access road between the Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour and the China Light and Power (CLP) Sub-station; and
- The access road adjacent to the Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour leading to Sze Chen Hall.

     A section of Yuk Wah Street east of Tsz Wan Shan Road will also be closed, except for private cars, taxis and emergency vehicles.

Traffic diversions:
- Vehicles shall follow southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill only for entering or leaving Fung Shing Street or Fu Shan Estate car park;
- Vehicles shall follow northbound Po Kong Village Road uphill only for entering or leaving Grand View Garden car park;
- Vehicles could turn left from eastbound Po Kong Village Road to westbound Yuk Wah Street via the easternmost traffic lane of Tsz Wan Shan (South) Bus Terminus;
- Vehicles from westbound Fung Shing Street cannot turn right to northbound Po Kong Village Road uphill;
- Vehicles from northbound Po Kong Village Road uphill cannot turn right to eastbound Fung Shing Street;
- Vehicles from Grand View Garden car park cannot turn right to southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill;
- Vehicles from southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill cannot turn right to Grand View Garden car park;
- Vehicles from Fu Shan Estate car park cannot turn right to northbound Po Kong Village Road uphill;
- Vehicles from northbound Po Kong Village Road uphill cannot turn right to Fu Shan Estate car park;
- Vehicles from southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill cannot turn right to Po Kong Village Road School Village car park;
- Vehicles from Po Kong Village Road School Village car park cannot turn right to southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill;
- Vehicles from southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill cannot turn right to an unnamed road opposite to Po Leung Lane;
- Vehicles from an unnamed road opposite to Po Leung Lane cannot turn right to southbound Po Kong Village Road downhill;
- Vehicles from Tsz Wan Shan (South) Bus Terminus cannot turn right to eastbound Yuk Wah Street (except for franchised buses); and
- Vehicles from Yuk Wah Crescent cannot turn right to eastbound Yuk Wah Street.

     Metered parking spaces on the unnamed road between the Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour and CLP Sub-station, motorcycle parking spaces at Yuk Wah Street near Yuk Hok Lane, and five metered parking spaces in Yuk Wah Street car park will be suspended.

     Between 7am and 6pm on March 30, April 5 and 6, Po Kong Village Road School Village car park will be closed and designated as taxi and private car drop off point.

IV. Sai Kung

     A section of Mang Kung Wo Road leading to Kei Pik Shan Cemetery in Sai Kung will be closed between 8am and 5pm on March 23, 29 and 30, April 5 and 6, except for vehicles with permit.

V. Wo Hop Shek

     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented on March 22, 23, 29 and 30, April 5, 6, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 and 21.

Road closure:

     The following roads will be closed between 6am and 5pm, except for emergency vehicles and those specified below:
- Kiu Tau Road, except for hearses;
- Ming Yin Road, except for franchised buses;
- Wo Ka Lau Road; and
- All access roads within Wo Hop Shek Cemetery.

Traffic diversions:

- Vehicles travelling on northbound Pak Wo Road outside Fung Ying Seen Koon cannot turn right to southbound Pak Wo Road; and
- Vehicles travelling on southbound Pak Wo Road outside MTR Fanling Station cannot turn right to the car park on Pak Wo Road near Fung Ying Seen Koon.

Suspension of parking spaces (between 7am and 5pm):

- The car park on Wo Hing Road near Ming Yin Road roundabout, except for emergency vehicles and taxis;
- The car park on Pak Wo Road near Fung Ying Seen Koon, except for emergency vehicles, drivers with disability to use the disabled parking spaces, and public buses of the residents¡¯ service route NR112; Depending on situation, vehicles carrying elderly and disabled passengers may be allowed to use the car park for interchange with shuttle buses heading for the cemetery; and
- Parking spaces on Wah Ming Lane, except for emergency vehicles.

VI. Lau Fau Shan

     The following traffic arrangements will be implemented between 8.45am and 4pm on March 22, 23, 29 and 30, April 5 and 6.

- Vehicles along Deep Bay Road towards Lau Fau Shan heading for Tin Ying Road must turn left to Mong Tseng San Road, except for green minibus route 35;
- Deep Bay Road between Mong Tseng San Road and the entrance of Wan Fou Sin Koon will be diverted to one-way eastbound;
- Mong Tseng San Road will be diverted to one-way southbound; and
- All vehicles from Tin Ying Road cannot turn to the slip road heading for Mong Tseng San Road.

     All vehicles parked illegally would be towed away without prior notice.

     Actual implementation of road closure, traffic control and traffic diversion will be made by Police officers at the time depending on traffic condition.
