The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department today (February 5) urged the public to suspend use of Medela B-Well Steam Sterilizer with model numbers 200.3377 or 200.3378 and contact the supplier, Medela Company Limited, for returning the product and a refund.
The supplier found that, after prolonged operation of the product, moisture may enter its internal components and cause a short circuit.
The product was sold in Hong Kong between November 2010 and December 2013. The supplier will post notices announcing the refund arrangement in newspapers today and tomorrow (February 6).
