Correctional officers discover visitor using other's identity card

     Correctional officers discovered a female visitor using an identity card of another person to visit a remand person in custody at Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre yesterday (December 28).

     At about 11.27am, the 22-year-old woman registered to visit a male remand person in custody at the Visit Room. On-duty staff suspected the produced identity card did not belong to her and therefore reported the case to the Police.

     The woman was subsequently taken to a police station for investigation.
