The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced today (December 27) that the following leisure and sports facilities will be temporarily closed:
(a) The activity room at Wai Tsuen Sports Centre in Tsuen Wan District will be temporarily closed from January 2 to 30, 2014, for air-conditioning system replacement work. Other facilities will remain open as usual. During the closure period, the public may use similar facilities at Tsuen Wan West Sports Centre, Tsuen King Circuit Sports Centre or Yeung Uk Road Sports Centre in the same district.
(b) Facilities of the Fa Yuen Street Sports Centre, located on 10/F to 13/F of Fa Yuen Street Municipal Services Building in Mong Kok, will be temporarily closed for large-scale improvement works. Squash courts, multi-purpose activity rooms, table tennis rooms, an activity room and the arena on 11/F to 13/F will be closed from February 10 to March 31, 2014, while activity rooms, the fitness room and the dance room located on 10/F will be closed from February 10 to May 25, 2014. During these periods, the public may use the facilities of the nearby Boundary Street Sports Centre No.1, Boundary Street Sports Centre No.2 and Tai Kok Tsui Sports Centre.
