Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui this morning (December 26) in which a 69-year-old man was killed.
About 5.40am, a light goods vehicle driven by a 62-year-old man was travelling along Ma Sik Road towards Luen Wo Hui. When approaching Jockey Club Road, it reportedly knocked down the 69-year-old man who was crossing the road on his bicycle.
Sustaining serious multiple injuries, the cyclist was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 9.54am.
Investigations will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North.
