The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Queen of the Belgians, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and European Affairs of Belgium, Mr Didier Reynders, at Government House this evening (December 5) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Leung welcomed the Queen and Mr Reynders on their visit to Hong Kong. He said he is pleased to know that Belgium is the partner country of the Business of Design Week this year. The event provides an opportunity for participants to exchange views and explore business opportunities, and underscores the role of Hong Kong as a super-connector between China and other parts of the world.
Mr Leung hoped that the two places will continue their frequent exchanges on all fronts.
The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Professor K C Chan, and the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, also attended the meeting.
