The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, will visit Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Zhuhai from December 6 to 7, during which he will attend the "Hong Kong-Pearl River Delta Industrial and Commercial Circle Goodwill Gathering 2013" (the Gathering) organised by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Hong Kong Productivity Council and the PRD Council.
The Chief Executive will depart for Guangzhou in the morning on December 6 and meet Guangdong Province leaders. He will travel to Zhongshan in the afternoon and will visit a residential development there. Mr Leung will also meet leaders of the Zhongshan Municipal Government. After attending the Gathering in Zhongshan in the evening, he will then leave for Zhuhai.
On December 7, the Chief Executive will see for himself the latest works progress of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge project. He will also visit the showroom on the Hengqin project and the development projects in the Hengqin New Area. Mr Leung will also meet leaders of the Zhuhai Municipal Government on the same day.
Joining the visit will be the Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Edward Yau; the Director of Information Services, Mr Michael Wong; the Private Secretary to the Chief Executive, Mr Carlson Chan; the Senior Special Assistant to the Chief Executive, Mr Chan Kin-ping; and the Assistant Director (Media), Mr Nick Au Yeung.
Mr Leung will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon on December 7. During his absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, will be the Acting Chief Executive.
