At the invitation of the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPCSC) cum Chairman of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Basic Law Committee (BLC) under the NPCSC, Mr Li Fei, and the Vice-Chairperson of the Legislative Affairs Commission of the NPCSC cum Vice-Chairperson of the BLC, Mr Zhang Rongshun, will visit Hong Kong from Thursday to Saturday (November 21 to 23).
A Government spokesman said today (November 19) that the main objective of the visit is for Mr Li and Mr Zhang to exchange views with HKSAR senior officials, department heads and members of the community on issues relating to the Basic Law and the political structure of the HKSAR.
During the visit, Mr Li and Mr Zhang will pay a courtesy call on the Chief Executive and will attend a luncheon hosted by the Chief Secretary for Administration on Friday.
Mr Li and Mr Zhang will also meet with the Hong Kong Bar Association and the Law Society of Hong Kong.
