The following is issued on behalf of the Housing Authority:
The enquiry service of the Housing Authority (HA) Hotline (2712 2712), Housing Authority Sales Hotline (2712 8000) and Complaint Hotline for Cleansing and Security Workers (2712 0813) resumed normal operation by 8.30am today (October 16).
Due to emergency maintenance of the system, the above enquiry service was temporarily suspended on October 15. After urgent repairs, it has restored partial operation on the same day. During the period of service disruption, members of the public were advised to make enquiries or complaints by sending email to hkha@housingauthority.gov.hk, fax to 2761 7750, or by calling 1823 Call Centre.
A spokesman for the HA said, "We are critically reviewing the incident and will take necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of similar situations. We apologise to the public for the inconvenience caused."
