The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, met the Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office, Mr Tian Lipu, in Beijing today (July 19) to consolidate long term co-operation on intellectual property between Hong Kong and the Mainland. The Director of Intellectual Property, Mr Peter Cheung, also attended the meeting.
Mr So and Mr Cheung also visited the China Technology Exchange to better understand the latest development of intellectual property trading in the Mainland.
Prior to his departure from Beijing, Mr So met the Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, Mr Nie Chenxi. They updated each other on the development of the broadcasting and film industries in the two places.
Mr So will return to Hong Kong tonight.
