The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, met the visiting Prime Minister of Romania, Mr Victor Ponta, at Government House this morning (June 30) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Mr Leung welcomed Mr Ponta on his visit. He said that Hong Kong and Romania have been enjoying good bilateral trade relationship. He hoped that the two places would continue to maintain the close ties to further enhance the economic co-operation and exchanges.
Mr Leung encouraged Romanian enterprises to make use of Hong Kong as a super-connector between China and other parts of the world to explore business opportunities on the Mainland as well as the Asia region as a whole.
