As the meeting of the Legislative Council (LegCo) House Committee (HC) this Friday (May 3) will likely end by 3.30pm, the first Finance Committee (FC) meeting scheduled to be held on the same day in Conference Room 1 of the LegCo complex will start at 3.30pm. The second FC meeting will then start at 5.40pm if the HC needs not resume its meeting at 5.30pm. If the HC needs to resume its meeting at 5.30pm, the second FC meeting will start immediately after the HC meeting has finished its business.
During the two FC meetings, members of the FC will continue to examine the Government proposal of seeking a supplementary provision of $100 million to enable an injection to be made to the Disaster Relief Fund for providing emergency relief to earthquake victims in Sichuan Province in the Mainland upon the advice of the Disaster Relief Fund Advisory Committee.
