The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (March 22) on the MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station Carnarvon Road subway and entrances modification works, which had been authorised by the Chief Executive in Council.
The works include construction of a pedestrian subway underneath Carnarvon Road, an underground integrated station entrance D3 and modification of the existing MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station entrances D1 and D2. The works are expected to commence in the middle of this year and complete at the end of 2015.
Upon completion, the works will reduce current congestion at entrance G and the two ends of the station concourse. It will also provide convenient and all-weather access for passengers to travel to and from the areas of MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station and East Tsim Sha Tsui Station.
