Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a woman who was seriously injured in a traffic accident occurred in Tseung Kwan O this morning (February 25).
About 6.15am, a taxi driven by a 51-year-old man was travelling along Po Fung Road. When approaching the junction with Mau Yip Road, it reportedly knocked down a woman who was crossing the road.
The 85-year-old woman was seriously injured and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state.
She is about 1.6 metres tall and of thin build with short grey hair. She was wearing a purple jacket, a pair of black trousers and carrying a green bag.
Investigations by the Accident Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, are under way.
Police urge relatives of the woman or anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has any information to offer to contact the investigating officers on 2305 7500.
