Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in which two persons were killed in Yuen Long early this (December 22) morning.
At about 2.50am, a private car was travelling along the 3rd lane of San Tin Highway towards Sheung Shui. On reaching near Pok Wai, it reportedly lost control and rammed into the central divider, before hitting a medium goods vehicle (MGV) that traveled along the 1st lane. The MGV then sideturned while the private car caught fire. Two dead bodies were found inside the private car after the fire was put out by firemen sped to the scene.
Further examination will be conducted to ascertain identities of the deceased. The MGV driver sustained no injuries
Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are underway.
