Under the authority delegated by the Chief Executive, the Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, has re-appointed Professor Leonard Cheng Kwok-hon and Mr Anderson Chow Ka-ming as Non-Executive Directors of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). The appointment is for a term of two years from January 1, 2013.
Announcing the appointment today (December 21), a Government spokesman said, "Professor Cheng and Mr Chow offered constructive advice on promoting good corporate governance of the SFC during their tenure. We look forward to their continued contributions to the work of the SFC."
The SFC is chaired by Mr Carlson Tong. Other serving Non-Executive Directors are Mr Chan Kam-lam, Ms Teresa Ko Yuk-yin, Mr Lawrence Lee Kam-hung, Mr Wong Kai-man and Dr Kelvin Wong Tin-yau.
