Approval for Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) to extend his service for six months

The incumbent Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), Mr Tang Kam-moon, will extend his current term of office for six months to August 12, 2013.
A Police spokesperson said today (December 7), "Approval has been given to extend Mr Tang's service for six months until August 12, 2013 to facilitate a smooth transition of the senior Force management."
Mr Tang is scheduled to retire upon reaching the normal retirement age of 57 on February 13 next year. His term of office has now been extended to August 12, 2013.
