The Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, visited Sha Tin District today (November 15) to learn more about the latest developments there and exchanged views with District Councillors and young people.
Accompanied by the Acting District Officer (Sha Tin), Mr Eric Cheng, Mr Lai went to the Drainage Services Department construction site next to the fresh water service reservoir in Area 52, Shui Chuen O, to have an aerial view of the public housing development site of Shui Chuen O. Mr Lai was briefed by Housing Department officers on the public housing development plan.
He then visited the service unit of the Shatin Youth Outreaching Social Work Team of the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong at Sun Chui Estate to learn more about its work and talk to youths.
He also met with the District Councillors, exchanged views on law and order matters and other community issues with them, and explained government policies related to security matters.
