The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, today (September 5) congratulated the Hong Kong delegation on claiming another gold medal at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Yu Chui-yee of the wheelchair fencing team won a gold medal in the women's individual foil (Category A) event.
Mr Leung said, "Yu Chui-yee, with her strong will, has strived hard to perform her best. On behalf of the Hong Kong people, I would like to extend congratulations to her for her remarkable achievement."
The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, also congratulated the athlete. He praised her for setting a good example to young people by continually training hard and aiming high.
The Hong Kong delegation has so far won four medals comprising two gold, one silver and one bronze at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
